Tool Box For Your Little Ones

After School Clubs

We offer drama and musical theatre clubs for York based Primary Schools, and the surrounding areas. The clubs operate with the same ethos as all our other provisions – inclusive, accessible and sociable!

Our clubs are perfect for building social confidence and creativity in a relaxed environment. We focus on creative expression as opposed to stage performance; we feel this is the most accessible approach – for all children. We do however offer one annual performance for each school we partner with; but this is not compulsory for the children. We often have children volunteering to support with script writing, prop and set design, music, tech, and lighting. We do our best to accommodate all our children’s interests and support their confidence to grow at their own pace.

We believe that the arts should be accessible to all children and young people. This being so, we also offer free places for children who access free school meals.

"My daughters absolutely love going to Tool Box Drama classes. Every week I ask how the class was and they always reply in unison “Amazing, as usual!” I have seen their confidence, not just in performing, but in day to day life too, grow and grow and I know that Tool Box Drama class has played a real part in that. Thank you Ellie!"

"The take up of the club surpassed anyone expectations and at least 15 children have attended each week to work on different activities enhancing their communication, language and self confidence."

Outreach Sessions

We also provide outreach workshops, summer clubs and workshops – to support all families to access the arts outside of school time. Please get in touch if you would be interested in hosting a Tool Box Drama outreach session for your school, community group, youth group or charity.
