Summer Show

It's Show Time

Attending as a performer

Fancy taking to the stage?

Get involved in this year’s summer show, taking place at The National Centre For Early Music in York! Create stories, music and dances to be performed for an invited audience at the end of the day. The event will be delivered by our drama, music and dance practitioners, we can’t wait to get started!

If you would like to attend the event as a performer, please click here to book your tickets. Please note that booking is essential.

Attending as an audience member

Would you like to join the event as an audience member? We’d love to have you in the audience cheering on our performers! The show will last around 30 minutes, followed by a tea and coffee social. Perhaps stay and meet the cast at the end of the day?

Important Information

The venue is fully accessible, but with limited parking. There are plenty of public car parks within walking distance of the venue and it is very close the major bus routes around the city. If you need to park on site due to mobility and access issues, please let us know as soon as possible as we will do our best to reserve you a parking space. Please note that these are offered on a first come first served basis.

The venue itself is fully accessible and provides participants with accessible toilets and comfortable breakout spaces. There is also an outdoor space, for those who would like to get some fresh air throughout the day.

There will be a hour scheduled for lunch, performers and their support providers are welcome to head off site during this time if you like. However, we would recommend bringing your own pack up with you. Tea and coffee will be provided.

There will be a photographer at this event and you will be asked if you would like to provide your consent for photos to be captured of you. Please note that you are not obliged to provide consent and you can change your mind at any time.
