Immersive Events

Immersive Spaces 2023/24

Toolbox Drama is thrilled to be offering a series of new events into our 2023/24 calendar, offering participants and their families access to sensory and immersive experiences. These activities have been designed with learning disabilities in mind, however all Immersive Spaces events are open for everyone to enjoy.

We will be offering four events over twelve months, each event will have an exciting and compelling theme attached. All of our events will be taking place at The National Centre For Early Music which is a centre of excellence for music-making in the City of York.

Please read on for more information about our most recent event.

Seaside Landscapes - 16th June 2024

Grab your buckets and spades – it’s time to head to the beach!

Step inside the sensory installation to explore projections, seaside soundscapes and touch sensory experiences, including sandcastle making. Participants and their families (or support networks) are invited to navigate around the room in their own time, exploring the sensory props and accessible technologies. This event is suitable for everyone – children and adults alike.

We are offering two entry times, 1pm and 2.15pm. Each time slot offers participants 45 minutes to explore the space. All tickets are free.

Please ensure you book tickets for everyone attending, including carers, PA’s and carers.
