Immersive Spaces 2023/24

Toolbox Drama is thrilled to be offering a series of new events into our 2023/24 calendar, offering participants and their families access to sensory and immersive experiences. These activities have been designed with learning disabilities in mind, however all Immersive Spaces events are open for everyone to enjoy.

We will be offering four events over twelve months, each event will have an exciting and compelling theme attached. All of our events will be taking place at The National Centre For Early Music which is a centre of excellence for music-making in the City of York.

Please read on for more information about our most recent event.

The Garden Party - 21st April 2024

Breathe in the fresh air and step onto the grass – Spring is here!

Head inside the sensory installation to explore light projections, sounds and interactive experiences, including a campfire sing-along under the stars. Participants and their families (or support networks) are invited to navigate around the room in their own time, exploring sensory props and accessible technology. This event is suitable for everyone – children and adults alike.

We are offering two entry times, 1pm and 2.15pm. Each time slot offers participants 30 minutes to explore, followed by a 15 minute sing-along under the stars. All tickets are free.

Please ensure you book tickets for everyone attending, including carers, PA’s and carers.
