Activity Programme
Partnership Sessions, Picnics and A Special Birthday Bash!
Join us this summer for partnership workshops, social picnics and an end of summer party to celebrate Toolbox Drama’s 5th birthday!
This summer we are teaming up with Mencap and Accessible Arts and Media to bring a range of accessible workshops throughout July and August. We also invite you to attend our summer picnics with Oaken Grove Community Centre in August to keep in touch with friends through the holidays. Our summer ends with a very special birthday party, celebrating Toolbox Drama’s 5th birthday!
Please note that booking is required for all summer holiday activities. Partner workshops should be booked with the partner host (email addresses are below). Please follow the links below to book your places on Toolbox Drama activities.
Mencap Performing Arts Workshops
Sensory Drama: Tuesdays, 21st July – 1st September 2026, 11.15am – 12pm
Sensory Dance: Thursdays, 23rd July – 3rd September 2026, 11.15am – 12pm
Drummers: Fridays, 24th July – 4th September 2026, 11.15am – 12pm *session on the 31st of July is only open to Mencap members, due the Mencap’s 80th birthday celebrations.
Cost: £8 per session

Toolbox Drama Picnics
Social Picnics: Mondays, 3rd August – 17th August, 12pm – 12.45pm
Cost: Free (donations are gratefully received!)

Join us in the garden at Oaken Grove Community Centre for a social picnic with pals. Bring your own pack up with you, we will provide garden games and access to tea and coffee making facilities. These meet-ups are free of charge, however donations are gratefully received.
Accessible Arts & Media: Immersive Gardens, Campfire Stories
Session 1 (adults): Wednesday 19th August, 10.30am – 11.30am
Session 2 (Children): Wednesday 19th August, 1.30pm – 2.30pm

Listen to the fire pop and crackle, whilst we bring characters to life through shadow stencils, smells, Makaton signing, sing-alongs and soundscapes. Booking is essential and places are offered on a first come first served basis.

Toolbox Drama's Birthday Bash!
Birthday Party: Monday 24th August, 12pm – 2.30pm

Join us in the garden at Oaken Grove Community Centre for a our 5th birthday party celebrations! We will provide games and a very special birthday cake – please bring your own pack-up for lunch.
